ARNISSA
The
Association of Retired Naval Investigative Service Special Agents
(ARNISSA) is an organization made up of members who served with
the criminal investigative and foreign counterintelligence section
of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), which evolved into the
Naval Investigative Service (NIS) in 1966 and was subsequently renamed
Naval Criminal Investigative Service in 1992.
Although
the name of the organization has changed over the years, its
primary
missions of criminal investigations, foreign counterintelligence
and Navy security have remained the same. Due to the nature of
those
missions, agents' names have been omitted or changed in articles
appearing on this web site for privacy and security reasons.
